Saw this place on social media and it definitely did not disappoint! We got the soy scallops as recommended, which was by far my favorite dish of the night. The scallops were fresh and light, yet savory with soy and egg yolk. We also got the spicy raw crab noodles. It seems like you're supposed to mix the crab and noodles together but I actually preferred to eat them separate as you can better taste each. Next we had the grilled tteokgalbi, which was husband's fave but my least favorite. The flavor was good but it resembled a burger patty which took me by surprise! We also got the corn cheese spicy jokbal which were pork trotters smothered in corn and melted cheese in a spicy sauce. This was so good and flavorful but the spice is definitely not for the weak! Service was so good and our waitress was super nice and helpful. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back!

Since it's been opened, I've been dying to check this place out as their social media & marketing is just too strong for me to not check it out. They have a really cool design online and offline and really enjoyed the disco balls above the tables in each booth! We came with a friend's little sister who is 20 years old, and we are all in our late 20s. We couldn't order ANY alcohol which was why I took 1 star off because she was about of age and they didn't cut us any slack. She doesn't even drink and we told the waiter but he told us he cannot serve any alcohol to any party that has a minor. He also studied our IDs really strongly so it was kind of a buzzkill to be honest. Even though we enjoyed our booth with the disco ball it was quite a downer! The food in general was very tasty and we got a few classics recommended from someone who goes there often. I know it's korean food & you're supposed to be able to handle spice to come in but we also invited someone who couldn't tolerate any spice at all which was testing the limits of what we could have. Rose Tteokbokki with Gimari Soooo good and to me it doesn't taste like actual rose but it is absolutely a must get! Octopus Jeopgal Kimbap Not as spicy as we expected and pretty good! Fried Sweet Potato One of our friend's favorite and this is super simple but very crispy and flavorful. Soy Scallop with Gim Rice As a raw scallop lover this was one of my favorites as I enjoy very simple dishes. Really reminds me of Japanese sushi dons but with a korean spin! Spicy Raw Marinated Crab Super messy, they provided gloves and since I was the one who ordered it I was forced to be the one to squeeze it all out ( they won't help you squeeze the crab out ) This one was super filling and I loved that it came with glass noodles so it wasn't as heavy as i thought it would be. Littleneck Clam Soup We got this because it didn't look spicy for the non spice eater but it was absolutely the spiciest thing on the menu. The broth was super clear and healthy and the clams were steamed really nicely, this was quite the star of the show. The flavor was quite addicting and I personally loved it but if you don't eat spicy don't order this, or for the most part don't come here. Coffee Shaved Ice Super small and not like what we expected. We got instant coffee packets when we ordered it which was good but it was just too small and not as tasty as you'd hope after the really good food we had the hope is to have a tasty dessert to end it off but it was definitely a disappointment. We still had a good time despite having no drinks and we tried all the food we wanted... I would say there's not everything for everyone here so I would be aware of their menu... They also have a separate bar in front of you only want drinks! So I'll be back there to try their drinks.

Seoul Salon- a relatively newish spot in ktown with insane cocktails! I've been here twice, once at the bar (5/5), and once in the dining room for drinks and snacks (3.5/5). Bar review: The bar seating has exclusive drinks that are insane- definitely recommend trying to sit at the bar. I came with a friend and got the Hangang Blues which had both blue cheese and blue curaçao (very blue), and was served with cotton candy. My friend got a more herbal drink, very good as well (cannot remember the name :(( The bartenders are super friendly and chatty, definitely ask for recommendations! 5/5 stars. Dining Room: The dining room offers food and a smaller selection of drinks which are fine, but definitely not the show-stoppers of the bar. I came with a different friend and got the Pine Nut Salad and Banana Milk Shaved Ice. I also got the Moon Highball (banana milkis foam aged soju highball- fine), and my friend got the Nurunji Martini (strong and spirit forward (as a martini is), but with a nice subtle burnt rice taste and scent- better than mine). The salad was fine, but the Banana Milk Shaved Ice was my favorite bite. It was icy (as opposed to milky) but had banana and orange cream interspersed which made it super creamy and delectable. Service in the dining room is a bit slow, was hard to get a waiter but it was a Friday night. 3.5/5 Overall, this is a nice addition to the ktown restaurant/bars! I'd come back to sit at the bar for sure, and might come back for dinner as well (but will come when it's less busy!).
